In Abandonances I work with two objects in common abandoned not perceived in the urban space, which lose their main function – to protect: the Wall [MURO] and the umbrella. Both are historically linked to protection: the umbrella initially had sacred attributes related to the gods and the walls exercised their primary function of protecting boundaries. 

I perceive the city and these two objects from the act of walking around and using the body as an agent of interaction with the various layers of urban space. The urban experience resulting from the body-city relationship is ‘inscribed in the very body of the one who experiences it’ (JACQUES, 2008, pg. 182). The artwork reveals itself, in this way, as a process where the experience of the artist is indispensable.The

Abandonances, an art intervention, happens in three different actions: Essay, 1st ACT and 2nd ACT. In the first approach the former umbrellas, collected in previous walks, to the Wall. In the second moment the real abandonment is experienced and translated into videoart. In the third moment I share with my group the possibility of collective abandonment next to the internal area of ​​the Wall. [Deni Corsino, 2016]

Em Abandonâncias trabalho dois objetos em comum abandonados no espaço urbano não percebidos e que perdem sua principal função – a de proteger: o Muro e o guarda-chuva. Ambos estão historicamente ligados à proteção: o guarda-chuva inicialmente possuía atributos sagrados relacionados aos deuses e os muros exerciam sua função primordial de proteger fronteiras.

Percebo a urbe e estes dois objetos a partir do ‘caminhar’ utilizando o corpo como agente de interação com as diversas camadas do espaço urbano. A experiência urbana resultante da relação corpo-cidade está ‘inscrita no próprio corpo daquele que a experimenta.’(JACQUES, 2008, p.182). O trabalho revela-se, desta forma, como processo onde é imprescindível a vivência do artista.

A ação Abandonâncias acontece em três momentos: Ensaio, ATO1 E ATO2. No primeiro aproximo os ex-guarda-chuvas, recolhidos em prévias caminhadas, ao Muro. No segundo momento o real abandono é vivenciado e traduzido em vídeo. No terceiro momento compartilho com o grupo a possibilidade do abandono coletivo junto à área interna do Muro.   [Deni Corsino, 2016]
